2010 Year End Review

Once again it’s time for my yearly review. This is a tradition that I have been doing for quite some time. I will have to say it is something that I really enjoy doing because it gives me a chance to think about some of highlight that has happen this year. So below is a Moment in my Life (with now some add bonus, Moments in the Life of the Deans)

January

I move back home to Dallas and I spend Christmas with my husband’s family. (This marked my second Christmas ever away from my parents, who now live in Florida.) I also move in with John’s grandmother, Mini Mama to live with her till John and I get married. I am working on wedding plans. My fiancĂ© (now husband) celebrates his 25th birthday. John also gets a car off of Crag’s list. We name him Dno. I also get a job at bank of America in the telesales department. (Later on in the year I would learn that I would be doing many types of calling.)

February

I celebrate my 24th birthday and also learn that my family now has a lot of birthdays this month. (They go as followed, my mom (Beth), Felicity, Me, Aunt Jan, Harrison, Cole, and Justin.) I have a bridal shower and my mom comes into town.

March

I go to the temple for the first time, a very special day in my book. I also get married to my best friend John. We spent our honeymoon in San Antonio Texas.

April

Not sure what exciting thing happened this month but John works on a project a school about going green. So he tried to get his parents to go green by getting a recycling bin for their house.

May

Busy first two weekends of the month, one my sister Lindsey gets married and I participated in my graduation ceremony at UAM. I also get to see some of my friends whom I miss dearly. John also finishes up another semester at Brookharved.

June

Holly-John’s mom, John and I along with some help from Carlyon and Mike and my sister play Extreme Home Makeover. We paint and clean-up three rooms in the house. (His parents room, Harrison and hunters) While they were away at Boy Scout high adventure camp for two weeks. I also start watching my Nephew, Cole on the weekends.

July

As cheesy as this sounds I finish my quarter’s map that I start back in 1999 when they came out with a quarter designs for each state. John and I also go to Texas Ranger Baseball game. (By year’s end we would attend two more, one more home game and another at an away game in Florida against the Rays). This month I get my first and hopefully last crown on one of my teeth.

August

We go to the beach for a week with my parents, grandparents, and my sister’s family. John also starts school again. We get into our first wreck, John was driving. Getting our car fixed cost $1700. We also had gone through the summer with no AC as result of what happened in February with Dno.

September

I get a new calling a church Relief society blogger where I Spotlight someone every month. I watch Felicity for a couple days while her dad was at work and her mom was out of town. It’s a lot of fun being an aunt! I also taught her about painting.

October

We move out to a place on our own! Dno our car also passed away the same week, just to bring him back to the bear minimum of life it would cost $5000! We decided to go and see about getting a used car. We found one and named him Champoin”aka Brownine”.

November

We spend thanksgiving with John’s parents and Lindsey and Justin come over too. John stays busy with studying. My mom also comes for a visit and stays at our new pad!

December

John passes all of his classes! My friend Pam comes to visit. I put up a tree in our apt and start my Christmas shopping. I also go to the dentist to find out that I have three cavities and John had none! This is John and I first Christmas together as a married couple.

As I look back over the course of the year, it’s been a great year! One that has been filled with many different memories and some that may have been not so pleasant. But I am so grateful for my family and my friends who once again made this year one that is most memorable. It’s time to say good bye to 2010 and welcome 2011!

9 Months

A short post for the 9 month mark. Hard to believe that we have been married 9 months now. Before I know it we will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary. This time last year we were just engaged and preparing for our wedding.

Eight Months?

Wow hard to believe that John and I have been married now for 8 months. When we last chimed in for the Dean monthly update we had talk about when it 'rains it pours.' Everything seemed to have worked out for good. We got a car, it drives great and it's a lot easier to drive then Dno. Life at the apt. is going great. I really like it! It truely is a blessing to have a place of our own. The ward seems nice, we have only been there twice.

Now before I say anything bout the apt. know this its is very nice. Has 2 pools, a gym and a racket ball court. We live on the second floor. It's a one bedroom.

The first weekend we were there we had some minor issues. Which was taking care of ASAP. The first one was the shower really wasnt working and our dish disposal didn't work. But it go fix. Those are things that typically break over time. And since we didn't have a house we didn't have to pay to get it fix. Just one of the perks of living in an apt.

And for those that are wondering about little ones? Not yet the time will be right soon. Waiting on the Lord. :)

Thats all for now. Happy Thanksgiving!

Bullies Never Remeber

Hi I am Brittany and I was pick on in school.

I have tried my best to let somethings just roll of my back. But I can still remember being pick on when I was growing up. Now the extent to what I was pick on was not that bad. I know other may have been pick on more than me. But the pain is still there a little hid beneath

But what occurred to me a couple weeks ago when I came across someone who had been mean to me and my sister. It was as if they didn't remember what happen a few years ago. Heck, I don't even think they remember who I am.

I know that Bullies, someone being mean or picking on you because you are different may seem like they are two different things. But in many ways they are the same. You still get your feelings hurt, harsh words are thrown at you, and it doesn't make you feel any better about yourself.

In the news recently there have been many stories about bullying and schools needing to do something about it. Which I agree. It's almost as if the schools want to remain silent, so they don't have to do anything. Maybe they think its a ride of passage in youth, some get pick on and some do they picking.

News Flash it's not cool. And what sucks is that sometimes the bulling or the picking keeps going even after public education. It happens at college and even in the workplace.

Just because someone is different, that they don't talk, walk or dress like you, just because they may or may not have money, or what school, race, sexual orientation they are, does not mean to bully or pick on them.

Stand up to bullying and be a friend!
Something needs to be done about bullying. There needs to be a stop to it.

Brownie

Yesterday, my husband and I got Brownie. She a 2009, Kia Spectra, tan color. She is a very good car and we both like driving her.

I will say this it is nice to be able to have a car with AC, I am truly grateful for that. Brownie came in our life at the right time. We are so glad she is part of the family.

I do miss Dno, he was my first car, our first car together as a couple.

When it Rains it Pours

Ever heard the saying that when it rains it pours? Well, have I got one for you. This coming Friday is the day that we get the keys to our first apt. My husband and I are both really exicted, until... last week.

Last Thursday to be exacted when Dno, our white 2003 Mecury became very sick. After visiting the Mecuary 'Doctor' and then later the Christian Brothers 'Doctor' it was determined that in our best interest that we should take Dno off of life support. So Friday at 5:40 p.m. ish, Dno
past away due to radiorator and brake issues. The cost to keep him on life support was going to to cost to much so the desion was made to get another car. This time hopefully from a dealer.

So for the weekend we had the a rental car while we looked for a newer car. We found some. And as of today we have two possiblities of two cars. Hopefully in the next few days we will know what we will be driving.

Right now I feel so over wheelmed this is a big purchase. I want to cry. I wish it was simpler, that cars never got so sick.

Electric Companies.

Finding the right one is like trying to find the right shoe or a bra that fits just right. There seems to be one that will always work, one that you can just live with or perhaps one that fits just right.
For me really don’t like to go shoe shopping or bra shopping. I know you are wondering why I am comparing the shoes and bras to electricity companies. Well, the answer is my friends is you could always go with the most well know, like the most popular shoes and bras. (Think Nike and Victoria Secret)

I have look at what seems to be a dozen different companies all offering the same service just at different rates, fees, rules, exceptions, and the list could go on and on.

Now I could go with the one that my parents had here in Texas, the one that it seem that everyone is a member of it seems, but there rate is out the roof! Compared to all the little man companies, the ones that aren’t so know.

I never thought that choosing one would be one of research and something that needs to be really thought about. Ah!

I better choose one fast we move in 11 days!

7 months!

Good morning fellow blog readers. Today makes 7 months since John and I have been married. This past month has been very busy. John still busy with school, doing well in it. He done well on his test and projects. I am so proud of him and all the work that he is doing.

Just recently he was learning how to divide polynomals in algbra and I had to look up how to do it because I could not remember that was like 4 years or so ago. But once I refresh my memory I was able to see how to do it. My husband gave me one of his problems that he had already figured out, and I got on the second try, because the first time I had some careless errors. But the crazy thing is I actually had fun doing the math problem, it was like a puzzle. I looked up how to do the problems only so I could help my husband with his math homework.
I still don't understand why we have learn stuff like that.. not sure how I am going to need that in the real world.... One perhaps I will know....

I am busy with work and learning a new job this month deposits in banking, I currently had been working and still with credit cards. Banking is a pretty cool business and there is so much that can do to have a great banking experience. We also sign a lease, we are moving.... I wrote a little poem about are move.

We move Oct.29. I am very excited to have our own place. Now I just have to start packing.. oh joy seems like the story of my life... moving. I moved from state to state, in and out of dorm rooms. Wow. It will be nice to be in one place for a bit.

In a place called Camden Trees*
We Will Live,
Like my friend name Cameron
Who lives in a town called Camden.

That's all for now for the Dean, stay tune for the next updates! :)

March 13, 2010 on Wedding Pictures and more

"I love to see the temple... for the temple is a holy place where we are sealed togather, as a child of God I have learned this truth, a family is forever.." I am so grateful that I am sealed to my husband forever. That even in heaven I will be able to be with my best friend and our family.

Temples are near and dear to my heart. It's a place where you can do work for others who have left this life, a place of learning more aboutg returning home, a place to fill the spirit. It is a very special place.

"I know this church is true and the we have a living prophet on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is there to help us in our everyday life. I know the Lord hears and answers our prayers. Even the smallest and simplest prayers are heard. I am grateful for temples and the blessing they are to us and those that have gone before us. I am so grateful for my family and my friends and all that you do for me. You are truly a blessing in my life."

Something Uplifting

As I was spending sometime reviewing some talks from Octobers General Conference, I came across a link about some wonderful young women who help a young women earn her Young Women medallion by proxy. It brought tears to my eyes to see them doing something for someone else. What a great joy and love they have for this young women. How I wish more people could be like those youth.

Growing up and attending YW's I never really got the chance to be able to do for someone. But I know one day I might just have that chance. So perhaps for now, once I finish the virture requriement I may just go back through it as away to perhaps better myself and to do perpare for me helping someone else one day.

Fun with Aunt Brittany on Tuesday

Today I came over to the Dean house really early. Brittany was still in her PJ's. But that's okay cause I was still in just my dipper. I was still trying to wake up, but daddy said that he had to take me over early. So I took my pink monkey with me. When I got there I was a little sad so dad fix me some cereal. I had Fruit Loops. Harry sat with me for a little bit so Brittany could get dress. Today she said that we could go to the park. I was really excited. The park is a lot of fun.

After Brittany drop Uncle John off at school we went to the park. The morning dew was still wet so some of the things at the park were wet. At first I went on the little kid slide. Something that was really easy to climb up on. I had fun stomping around and looking through the little window at aunt Brittany. I went down the slide. At first I wasn't to sure about it, but Brittany told me that it was okay. It was a lot of fun. When I got to the bottom of the slide there were some rocks on it. So of course what is a kid and rocks suppose to do. Play of course! Then I saw that there were rocks all around me so I had to play some more with the rocks. I loved picking them and letting them fall out of my hands. Don't worry mommy aunt Brittany made me wash my hands after we left the park.

After rock exploring I went and played on this rocking horse. Okay so it wasn't a horse it was a Tiger. I had fun going back and forth. I also rode a duck for a little bit. I think the rocks were really cool. Mommy can we get some rocks like this. They are a lot of fun to play with.

Brittany push me on the swing. I went on it twice. It was a lot of fun to feel the wind in my hair. After that some kids my sizes came to play at the park. Though aunt Brittany said that they were like 2 1/2 and 4. It was cool to see them play. They were boys of course. The older boy went down this big slide. Before they came aunt brittany and I went down it togather. After I saw him go down the big slide by himself. I knew I could do it too. I did. It was a lot of fun. I wanted to go again and again. Brittany didn't get a picture of me going down the big slide that okay though. she got lots of other cool pictures.

I didn't want to leave the park . But Brittany said that we had to go pick up John. I was sad a little. But brittany gave me a snack when we got in the car. That made me happy. After we go John we went and got Sonic. I got an Apple Juice Slush, grilled cheese and fries. I mainly drank my drink and ate my fries.

After lunch we watch a little of Sesame Street and it made me want to dance. And it was time to nap. And after nap time I went with grandma.

Whoa, its been a busy past two days... not much longer till mommy comes home. Hope you are having a great time. Love you!

Fun with Aunt Brittany on Monday

Hi, I am Felicity though people call me Lissy for short. Mommy took a trip on a big boat up in a place called New England and Canada. I don't know where that is but to me it is too far for me to be away from my mommy. But it's okay I know she will be back and she is having fun because she is with Jan, Oma, Mini Mamaw. Since all the girls were gone all but me and Aunt Brittany I got to hang out with her , and Uncle John and even Harry some!

On Monday I came over I looked at the puppies, read some books watch some kid shows on PBS, and they were really funny and made me dance a little. I went for walk in the stroller. The weather was really nice outside and it was good to get out and see the sunshine! But best of all I got to paint with water colors. I paint a lot of pictures. Aunt Brittany paint my hand and I made a hand print with my hand. It was pretty cool. The paint felt wet on my hands. I tried to get Brittany to paint my nails with the water colors but it didn’t really work that well. I told Aunt Brittany she should have taken a picture of me doing that but she didn’t. L She took pictures of me painting all by myself. I am sure am growing up to be a big girl!

Nap time came a long and I really didn’t want to go to sleep and I fell sleep holding my shoe. I guess Brittany thought it was funny because she took pictures of me sleeping with my shoe.

I had a good day with my aunt and later that day I went to The Pynes. I had fun there. They have big dog too! Well more in a bit. Love you all. Hurry home soon mommy I love you!

6 months!

Time sure does fly by the older you get. Yesterday made the day that John and I had been married 6 months. We are half way through our first year of marriage.

Last month was a rather trying month well the last few days mainly. We were involved in a car crash and $1700 a car is fixed, but we still with no AC. I am guessing that could have gone for a down payment somewhere to get a new car. But was are really trying to keep "Dno" as long as we can and not have to worry about making car payments so that we can move out in August 2011.

If you are wondering about the car wreck. It was John's fault. No one was hurt. And we only hit one other car.

Here's the 411. We were yeilding at green light getting ready to make a left hand turn. By the time we got in the middle of the interection I saw an on coming car. I didn't really have a chance to yell anything and we hit the Black Lincolns back axle on the left handside and knock part of the back bumper off the other guys car. Our cars bumper came off and the hood jamed the driver side door.

We were all okay. I was really shaken up. I know that it could have been a lot worst. I am so grateful that we are safe and nothing happen. But I know the Lord has something special that he needs us to do.

August was also a good month, I got to see my parents and we got chill at the beach. It was a lot of fun. I miss the beach.

As for what's happening with us now. I have a new calling a church. I have been called to the Relief Society Board. I am really excited, I know that it is going to be an experience like no other. I will say this I do miss my kiddos from Arkansas with their Wednesday night program. John is staying busy with school.

That's all for our little update.

When the world stop turning

September 11, a day that will never be forgotten. There are many days in our history books when it seems world for a moment in time stop turning. Days like Pearl Harbor, D-day and Independence Day just some days that have gone down in our history books and some even make it to calendars as days of remembrance.

To me it seems that just about every generation has dealt with some major world event that has changed them in someway.

For me it is 9/11. I can remember that day clear as a bell. I remember what I was doing , what radio station I was listening to and where I was. I even remember what I was doing before the events happen. I won't go into details as to what I was doing on that day, because that is in other 9/11 blogs of previous years.

I didn't know anyone who died or was in the buildings on that day. But now 9 years later I run into people who had family members or they knew someone who died on that day.

I remember the first day after 9/11 how on one of the local radio station, the personality said that we should all put white ribbons on are car antenna. My dad thought that was a bad idea because it would be as if were surrendering the fight. So we never did that. Come to think about it, I don't recall anyone doing that. We put a flag sticker on our car instead.

Nine years later a lot has changed. The war is over. Even though to me the fight still goes on because there is still so much that is going on. Some that we may not even know or understand.

War is an ugly thing. But one thing is for sure. Our colors don't run. The stand tall and remain true and faithful.

I am proud to be in American! I will never forget those that die for our country and those of 9/11.

So today on 9/11 the world keeps turning. It may have stopped for a moment that day, but we keep on going on today.

the Duggar Bunch

I typically try to post things here that are happening in John and I life (and before I was married I had put things that were happening in my life.) Which I still intend to do. But I want to get something off my chest. I know the internet is filled with peoples opinions, bias and thoughts of them. But when it comes to something I care about then its time for me to take a stand.

Over the last 3 years or so I have watch a show call, 19 kids and counting. (I think when it first aired it was 16 kids and counting). I like this show because the family is humble, they treat others with respect, they are very loving and they are normal Homeschoolers.

Now, before you bash on homeschooling. Let me say this, Homeschooling is not for everyone. It was something that I did and I am proud to call myself a Homeschooler. Public Education is not for everyone and just because you are Homeschooled doesnt mean that you live your life in a box or you have poor social skills. That is why there are numberous Homeschool groups were familys get togather and do activities all the way from dance, to boy and girl scouts, to art, to pinics and much, much more. The Duggar family goes and sees other Homeschoolers, they get out and do things. That is what makes a 'normal Homeschooler'. Now with that thought a side. Let's get back to the main point of my topic.

There is fanpage on facebook that is for fans of the Duggers show, 19 kids and counting, of which I am a fan of. Recently their have been what I call Dugger Smashers. Who speak neagtive of the Duggars and say mean things about them.

Such as, "haven't you ever heard of a condom" or that they really don't have 19 children, or most recently, "your body is not a clown car" comments that I find very offensive. Because for one no ones has the right to tell you what form of protection to use or if to use any and second no one has the right to tell someone how many kids to have or not to have.

For those who knew of the show in it's early years, the Duggars actually lived in a small house with 3 0r 4 bedrooms I think and one bath room. They started from humble beginnings and still are very humble and giving people.

There are enough shows about sex and violence on TV right now so what is wrong with good family TV.(like the Brady Bunch). I personally admire the Duggar family in all they do. The truely show us what family is about and that you can still live in the world and not of it.

Those kids are very lucky, they are well cared for and always have someone to go and talk to, play with and even learn from.

I just wish people would not post slander, state mean things or untrue things. Just because someone is different or has a different family value does not mean you have to post mean things. The purpose of a fan site is for fans to get togather, talk about the show or share thoughts about it(good ones).

I also understand that everyone has a right to their own opinion and freedom of speech here in America. And I am all for that and I support that. But there comes a point when certain things just should not be said and should just be kept to yourself , to your own blog or page.

I am proud to be a Duggar Fan. Their show makes me smile.

I am sorry if this post has offended anyone. But I had to get off of my chest.

Back to fall

Monticello Weevils, played their first game on Thrusday. It was kind of strange not being there and doing the pre-game activities like the walk of champions and cheering on the field. Those days were such much fun, even if it was hot. I loved it!

The beach was a lot of fun. There is a lot of picture on facebook. I know I said it I post some. It will just have to wait a tade bit longer.

John's started school back, taking a math class, a world lit, American history 1, and speech. He thinks speech is going to be his favorite class this semester.

Work is going okay for both of us.

It's crazy how fast summer has flown by and how now it is over. But I am gald because that means maybe it will start cooling off outside.

More from the Deans later!

The Map is Done!

Do you remember when the Mint began issuing state quarters, back in 1999? Well I do. I remember being so excited when a new one was issued, I would take it home and put it in my map. There were times that I thought my collection would never be finished.

I typically am not one to collect coins but when the state quarters came out I thought it was a good collection to start and one that I could show my kids one day and maybe even use when I become a teacher.( I am a big history buff).

Last week, I finally finished the map. Yes I know that that the Mint finished issueing them in 2008. It just took me a little bit longer to get them. But it was worth it. I didn't really go hunting for them, just when I came across quarters I looked for the ones that I needed.

Picture captions: (Above) Brittany Dean proudly shows how her State Quarters Collection map. The collection took her over 10 years to complete.

(Below) Starfish poses by the State quartes map for a better view of the collections.

Picture Time with the Deans

As I was reviewing my blog I noticed that I didn't have many new pictures of what the Deans have been up too lately.

The Summer has flown by. We are already in the middle of July. At the end of May, John and I went to the Rangers Baseball game as well in June with some people from work. It was fun. The first game we went to they lost their game and the second one they won.

In June also, John, his mom, the Hofferts and my sister and myself.. painted and clean the boys rooms and his mom's room as a surpsie while the boys were at Philmont. It was a lot of work but very worth it.

With John and I nothing much else is happening, just enjoy summer and working and saving for our own place.

July also makes 4 months since John and I have been married. My how time does fly.

John takes a moment to "smile" for the camera at the Rangers game in June.

3 months

It's been almost over month since I last wrote. Today make three months since I have been married. It's hard to believe that time has flown by so quickly.

Let's see what's happening. John's brothers, Harrison and Hunter and dad are off these next two weeks at Philmont. (It's a boy scout camp in New Mexico) So it's just John, Me and his mom at the house. It's kinda quite.

Since they are all gone we are working on a project I like to call Extreme Home Makeover Edition, only we aren't knocking down a house, just painting Hunter's, Harrisons, and Mom and Dad's room. It's only day 4 of the project, one room is nearly finished, the other just needs some primer on the walls and paint(and of course the room put back to gather), and then one room yet to be started. It has to be finished by June 22. The boys get back on the 23.

It's seems like a lot of work, but it is also fun. I can't wait till they get home to see their reactions on their faces. So I guess we shall see.

Lindsey, been helping with the EHM she's been really good at organizing things.

John's doing well, working hard with the project and with work. He's such a great hard worker.

Me, I am doing well too, working hard on the project and doing good at work. I still find it hard to believe that I am done with school. Guess what also makes it believe able is that my student loans are now due and I make my first payment in August. Oh, boy... be paying for this over the next 10 years! But school was most certainly worth it.

We aren't moving as we had planed in July, but staying at John's parents house. It's gonna be okay. Maybe we need to be here to help and encourage the younger brothers. At first I was really upset that we couldn't move but I am slowly working up to it all. After all, "it won't be like this for long..."

Well that's it for now.. from the Dean's!

Dean Happings in May

John and I have been married for a little over two months now. John finished the spring semester with B's and an A. I was really proud of him, he worked really hard, especially with everything going on this semester.

The first part of May, my sister got married in New Mexico. So we flew out there to see her wedding and some of the sites of New Mexico. Then the following weekend I had my college graduation from UAM. It was great, a lot of my friends that I meet were graduating to with me. It was great to see them. And the drive wasn't that bad. even though are car dosen't have AC, we made it.

Guess that's the Dean wrap up til next post.

Some Thoughts

Early this morning when I should be in bed becasue church and choir pratice do come early. I was thinking. I know what some might be thinking, that might be a dangerous thing or something like that. But, it is a good thing.

As I was updating my facebook status I was thinking, how in two weeks, my sister Lindesy will be married and how in Three weeks I will go an attend my college graduation, even though I received my dimploma in December. It made me stop and think, how fast time has flown by.

I remeber when I first went to Arkansas for school and that seems like it was forever ago. I still remeber playing barbies with my sister. Now we never had a barbie dream house, so we took hard back book and made a floor plan of our little house. That was about 12 years ago.

I was told when I was 14, becasue at that time I wanted to be 18. "Not to wish my life away, because before I know it I will be 18 and then I will be 40." Now, I am not near 40 yet. That is still about 15 years away.

But time sure does fly by really fast.

Now as I finish typing my blog for the night, so I can join my husbend who just headed to bed. I am so greatful, for the friends and family I have meet along the way, those who got me to got to Arkansas, and those who I have yet to meet on my life journey. All of you have help shaped me to who I am and have touched my life in someway. My life would have not been the same with out you.

Going Green in April

Last week, my husband order a recyling bin, as part of one his school assigments for his English class.

His school project is recyling. So for the next three weeks(hopefuly now for the rest of our lives) we are trying to make a conscince effort to recycle.

The bin, is blue and is the size of a trashcan. One the lid it states what can be recylce. In the last 5 days, we were able to get it half-full.

Not only are we recycling but, I desided also to get the reuseable bags at Wal-mart to use when I go shoping there and cut down on the use of the plastic bags.

Going green is not something that can be done in day, it's a life style change that comes over time. Doing the small things at first, hopefully will equal large results.

I am so grateful for temples and that I can be with my husbend forever. He is my love and my best friend. What a blessing that is to be able to live in a time where temples are on the earth.
For now, my husbend and I are living with his parents till we can our fiances worked out. As I write this, we have been married for two weeks. It's hard to be that time is just flying by. Before I know it, the year will be over.
As for children we plan to have some little ones of our own, but not right now. We are getting use to life being of being married.
So what is next for the Dean's will, John is finishing up the spring semester of school and I am in the process of trying to find a great teacher critification program, so that I can being teaching.

What I learned in Arkansas

While I lived in Arkansas from 2006-2009, there are several things that I learned and even gained. Looking back I see that If I did not live there than I would have never learned what I did. Below is the list of thing

The PBR(professional bullriding), and really how cool it is, and how exicting it is.

Hunting. It is a big sport in Southeast Arkansas. I never thought that it would be soo big. Never shot any wild life, but, I saw loads of deer.

How to live on a college budget.

Was the Weevil, mascot and learned about cheerleading and really fun adventures.

How to get a newspaper in to HTML and ready for the web.

Even if you live in a town with nothing to do, Wal-Mart is still fun at 12 a.m.

Put together a few yearbooks.

Learn more about kids.

Found out more of who I am.

Learned the about the campus and what to do there.

3 a.m. fire alarms sound really loud and waking up after just going to sleep a little before is not fun.

Gained some great life-long friends.

The Church is the same no matter where you go.

The town only has like 4 stops lights.(That I saw)

Meet the mayor of the town where the college is.

Running thro ugh the sprinklers late at night is cheap entertainment.

Walks around the pond are great.

Playing with playdough is still fun in college.

Cafeteria food is always an adventure.

Loud Hour is a lot of fun. More people should run down the halls screaming during the hour.

Dancing in the dorm halls is a lot of fun! Everyone should try it.

I learned a lot, made lots of memories not just the ones mentioned below. Feel free to leave your comment with me at college. J

s I learned or did:

2010, A New Decade

It truly hard to believe that it is 2010! My how time flies, I can still remeber when it was 2000 and I was just starting High School. Now, at this start of the new decade, I have graduate from college, I am getting married and starting a new chapter in my life.

As I look back over the last 10 years, a lot has changed. I have moved several times, I have gone to places I never would have imanged going, meet some pretty cool people, gained an even greater love for the gospel and have done things I never thought that I would.

Looking at this year, I have set some goals they are

1) Work on the Viture vaule for young women's even though I am no longer in young women's I feel that is something that I should do. They add the vaule back in 2009.
2) Get a car, or well at least help John get a car.
3)Learn something new this year
4)Work on paying off loans
5) Be healthier

That is all for now in 2010... more later
