Muffins

"Do you know the muffin man?"
"Muffins are simply cupcakes that are naked."

As you can tell my mind is on muffins. In fact I have some cooking right now. They are chocolate muffins! It's been a while since I have had muffins. It's also been awhile since I have posted something on this little blog of mine.

It's been so long that blogger has change they way you publish post. Gonna take bit to get use to but it's cool.  Looks a little more user friendly. Oh, well enough about them and more about the Life with the Deans.

John, is doing well. He passed College Algebra! For those that know us math is not our forte. He pass with a "C". I am so proud math is hard. Letters and numbers just should not mix. He is still working at the bank and is ready for summer. Mainly summer vacation. We are head back to Florida to see my parents and visit, Mickey Mouse's house. Every time I go there I feel like I am kid again and I can leave my worries at the car.

As for Roll and Skittles the hamsters they are doing well and happy and health. They were interview for my friend's blog called, Arkansas Pet Gazzete. I still need to get there mug shots to her.

Me, I am doing well. Working two jobs right now. I actually really am enjoying it keeps me busy and the extra money helping pay off those lovely student loans a bit faster.

John and I are still working at the temple and loving it. It's been a huge blessing in my life to be able work at the temple. It's truly a place where heaven meets earth.

A very dear friend of mine is getting married tommorw in the Washington, D.C. Temple. I am very happy for him. He help me out a lot when I was at school. Thinking about his up coming wedding made me think about mine and how special it was. I had my grandfather seal"marry" me and my husband. I look back on now and wish I could remember more like what was said at the ceremony. I know that i had really really bad headach that day and neither me or John could sleep the night before. The weather was prefect my friends came all the way from Arkansas to see me. It was wonderful, to this day I am so greatful that they were able to come. It was very special.

The month of May also marks NF awarness month. I have NF. I have post a blog about NF in 2008 and even wrote a newpaper article about it. NF simply sucks! There's no cure and it can only get worst over time. Everyone is affected differently.

Enjoy the muffins!

5 years!

Today marks 5 years since my bestfriend died. It didn't really hit me of the death day till I remember the date and that it was my sister's birthday and her nephew's too! It amazes me how much time does fly. And as it flies we are growning. It's not till we stop and look at where we were and where we are now do we see how much we have grown. And how eventually the pain of his death does fade to dull and I now remember more of the good and the promises and things that were taught then the saddness with his death.

I guess that's how it's suppose to be. Death never meant to be sad but a new beginning.

In the last 5 years, my testimony has grown-because of that I am willing to share it more, because of my friend's challenge. I have grown for a love of the temple-now I am a temple worker and loving every minute of it. I am bless with a wonderful husband who loves me for me and understands me. I have graduated from College something I thought that I never would do. I have meet many people. My family has grown. I have gained a deeper understanding for the love of the gospel and the plan of salvation. And that heaven really isn't that far way. I have learn that when one door closes, there's usually a window to go out and new door to go through.

Death gives us experiences that we otherwise wouldn't have. People are placed in our lives at certain time sometimes for a season, for a moment, or forever. The Lord know's what he's doing even if we don't. Just gotta trust.

Life is what we make it. We can either make lemonade or make lemon juice.

Now to just apply this positive vibe to my job more. the Job is what we make it, better make good!

Happy Birthday!

February was gone in a flash.

It's been way to long since I last wrote. The month of February was a long month. I celebrated my 26th birthday and My parents came for a visit. We had a lot of fun. Played games, went out to eat, went shopping and got to go to this really cool theater. Where they have Lounge chairs that are big and comfy and you can prop your feet back and lean back and watch a movie! It was really cool. We saw Man on a Ledge. Pretty good clean movie. I like it it!

At the end of January I join Brittany M's team for selling Mary Kay. I haven't sold much. But then again I really haven't had a lot of time. I have been really busy working. When I am not working I am at the temple, when I am not there I am cleaning my house or sleeping. It's amazing how fast the week goes by. But I am loving every bit of it.

For those reading the blog, no the Dean4's aren't expecting anytime soon. ;)

February also made 18 years since I was baptized into the church. What a great blessing it's brought my life and more so for my future family as well.

It's hard to believe that in just a few days John and I will celebrate our second wedding anniversary can't believe how much time has flown.

Makes me think of the country song, "Don't Blink" by Kenny Cheseny some of the song goes... Don't blink
Just like that you're six years old and you take a nap and you
Wake up and you're twenty-five..... Naw, don't blink
Life Goes Faster Than You Think...

Makes me think about how when I was 14, I wanted nothing more than to be 18 years old. I thought that's when life would start. Boy was I wrong. My theme song then was, "I am in Hurry" by Alabama. Not so much in a hurry any more. There's no rush to getting old, it'll happen when it suppose to.

LegoLand

Dear World:

On 1.13.2012 my husband and I both plan to go to Legoland in the town we live in. Why? It was my husband's birthday. We like legos. We bought our tickets the night before on the official website. To ensure that we would be able to get in. Plan to go at time when school was still insession. Only to get turned away at the door. The website states nothing about having children to get in. Nor is written ANY where outside of this Discovery Center!

My husband and I have been playing with legos for around 20 years(off and on of course). It makes me never want to by legos again. (But since they are the only good block building thing out there, it eliminates that idea).

At least I go to DISNEY WORLD and have fun and ride Dumbo without being told I have to have a kid with me.

What if we wanted to just look and see what was in there? Instead of just the website tessers or seeing the small amount through the glass? What if we want to see if that was something we really wanted to take our family too?

Bright side is they gave comp tickets to SeaLife.. which was cool. I got to touch a star fish it was rough....

Maybe I'll find away go another time...

Year End Review 2011

A tradition is something you do every year or at least something to the short. Many years ago I start what I call my Year End Review, a snap shot of highlights from the year, this is one of my traditions that I do as well.

January

Was a sad month, Friskey the cat of 17 years ran away to die.

John has a birthday, turns the young 26.

February

The birthday snow curse takes another year. Snow and Ice hit Dallas and work calls to say it’s going to be an inclement weather day 3 days that week. It was very pretty but truth be told I am glad that it only stayed a week.

I have my 25th birthday. (Getting older is no longer fun.)

We also add two new additions to the family, two hamsters, Rollie and Skittles.

March

Celebrate out first anniversary! Hard to believe John and I have been married a year. We take a few days off work and have a stay-cation. We had fun going to the mall, seeing movies, going to the Rain Forrest Café, and Medieval Times and relaxing at home.

April

Not much exciting really happens. I did read a good book called, “Who Moved My Cheese”.

We did go to our first and only Ranger game of the Baseball Season, can’t believe we made it to the World Series twice in back to back years.

May

This month I write a blog about NF.

Husband and I start planning our summer vacation!

June

I am called to teach in Junior Primary at church, CTR4. A true blessing if you ask me. I learn more to love those kids this year and hopefully they will be in my class next year!

July

Like the rest of the summer this month came and went. John and I went and saw my parents in Florida. We got to go to the beach for the day and then we head off to Disney World for Four DAYS! We went to Magic Kingdom(I got to ride the Dumbo Ride) Epoct, and MGM! I was a blast and I had so much fun!

August

By the middle of the month we have had some days with 100 plus that it’s just too hard to keep track. All I can say is that it was a HOT summer!

I paint a picture of the ocean at a place called Let’s Art Party at Girls Night.

John and I are called to work in the temple!

September

The nation celebrates the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

We start our first shift at the temple this month.

October

It’s still hot outside.

I start a second job-part time.

I am also promoted at the Bank job, to 75% SAS. J

We also renew our apt. lease for another 15 months!

November

It’s turkey month. I set up the tree and John and I hit the midnight black Friday sales.

Time flies when you are busy.

December

The Month comes to an end all to soon. The holidays are great and it was great to spend time with family.

John and I get our credit cards paid off. J
